After reading the first chapters of "Shades of Twilight", this book had my attention. Melissa jumps down into the water and almost drowns. Michael saves her and takes her to the hospital to be checked out. Later Melissa and Mike start hanging out. They go to eat but he has already eaten, so she's the only one munching down on a Whopper. Melissa starts becoming paranoid at nights after leaving work thinking someone or something is watching her, so she constantly is calling Mike to come watch over [...]
Got this on my kindle and there were so many grammar errors. It drove me nuts! I thought that the storyline was just rushed. No character development at all. Seemed like thoughts weren't finished everything was just chaos. I didn't like any of the characters nor did I feel any of their relationships were real. I couldn't connect to a character either and I like being able to relate in some way at least. I really only got this because it was .99 cents and a read a good review on amazon. Granted I [...]
AWESOME BOOK, IM HOPING FOR A SECOND ONE SOON!
Despite a promising start, this story disappointed me. If the read is rather short, easy to absorb, it is also a little disjointed. But the coverage is beautiful Thus, opening with a drowning and a visit to the emergency room from the heroin, I was really attached to my book. I really enjoyed myself while turning the pages. Ditto when she was followed by shadows on her way home. I enjoyed the anticipation. However, once the author presented me the monster, I began to stall. This deadly creature [...]
This is the first time I have read this author. And I picked an interesting story of his to start with. I liked the premise of the story and was interested to see how he would go about a vampire romance tale.It was a fairly quick read and easy to follow. Although at times it was a little awkward reading the dialogue and the story progression. The main character can be likable but annoying at the same time. You do eventually realize why she is acting that way, but a bit more character description [...]
It started as a normal hot summer day , Melissa and her two friends Sarah and Debbie hoping to cool off are spending the day at the local watering hole . It then moves to a scene similiar in Eclipse movie where Melissa is standing on an Eight-foot cliff ready to jump, nervous she goes for it . However , for Melissa -unlike her friends the jump causes a near-death experience for her, almost drowning. Melissa is then rescued by Michael. Michael is the hottest hunk that Melissa and her friends have [...]
I give this more like 2.5 stars. I really liked the concept, but the writing just fell short for me. The grammatical and spelling errors were hard to ignore. I liked the characters, but I would have liked to see more development and background on both. I didn't understand why Mike was even drawn to Melissa. I also thought that Melissa was a bit immature at times and her clinginess baffled me. I was enjoying the story until the author brought in the Twilight book comparisons. Not only do the refe [...]
Shades of Twilight is a must read! This book had an awesome story line as well as wonderful characters. I can't wait for the next one!
This book was okay. I liked it but found that it was hard to stay in the story. It had lots of fluff. Not your typical vampire story which was nice. Good Read!
Wouldn't go absolutely bonkers on this book :)
