Through lyrical verse, this beautifully illustrated book introduces young children to the idea of listening to their tummies when it comes to food, hunger, and satiety Encouraging individualism and independence, this concept book shows children how to start recognizing when they re truly hungry and when it might be better to do something fun rather than eating.

Cute way of talking about what your tummy does, but I wouldn't pay $16.95 for it! Glad to have a library card!
A picture book for early primary school students about "attuned eating"--being attentive to signs of hunger and knowing when appetite is satisfied (not "full"). It's unfortunate that a number of the foods mentioned to satisfy the appetite are empty calories. However, the author does imply that we often eat out of boredom and that activity is a better choice. An appropriate read-aloud to meet some curriculum expectations in early elementary school.
