Worst book ever :s
Wow! This author nails life in Beirut! I want to quote her on my blog I also want to buy multiple copies of this books so my friends/family can understand what Beirut is like. The writing was not particularly strong but she had a very nice story. I also liked that the author didn't get too into which side (politically) was right. She stayed very neutral. Looking forward to reading more by Kristin Kenway.
I read Bliss Street several years ago but I still remember how much a good read it was and how much it was a lively description of Beirut and Beirutis. I remember being really touched by the Palestinian woman story. This is definitely a must-read for a Lebanese, anyone living Lebanon and anyone who knows a Lebanese.Read more on The Cube
It simply introduces Beirut, the way it was, is and forever will be. So complicated, so Ironic, full of hypocrisy yet : Beautiful.
