I have come to the conclusion that these are the three worst words in the English language.d should accordingly be banned from use by authors as they are clearly using it as a crutch to deprive and torment us the reader. Away with them I say, away…P.S I looooved the book
I read this book first not realising it was the 2nd book in the series(purchasing book 1 'Shadows messenger- Aileen Travers novel' after ive written this review ) Loved it so much! It didn't take me long to warm to the main character 'Aileen' - a feisty, stubborn newly turned vampire that has no intention of joining any vampire clane's independent and bad ass enough on her own right 😉 Even too stubborn to join with the Vampire hottie 'Liam' (Can't wait to see in the next installment how things [...]
It wasn't a bad read per-se, but I was left feeling like the book was rushed. There are several instances of information being repeated (sometimes in the same chapter), and a couple of plot threads hammered into the reader that the MC refused to acknowledge or investigate, which made for a frustrating read at times. There are also a few plot threads introduced, never resolved or even mentioned by the end, to be picked next book, I suppose, but which don't help the plot's causeOS: Liam. A hundred [...]
Wow!I found a new favorite series! Fast paced, exciting, and definitely one of the best books I've read in awhile! I can't wait for the next book!
Excellent book. I hope everyone gives this series a try. I can’t wait for another Aileen book. She’s a great character, I dependent and strong.
Excellent readA very entertaining book. Different from others and full of adventures. I can't wait to year the third one in the series
Packed with every supernatural character out there which makes this book super exciting.
This second in series follows newly created vampire Aileen as she navigates supernatural politics to thwart the plans of a demon while making sure the correct vampire is 'elected' as head of the region. I loved it.Aileen is just a brilliant character - one of my favourite urban fantasy heroines. She is fiercely independant in refusing to join a vampire clan but pragmatic enough to realise when she needs to work with them. She is loyal to a fault, crazy stubborn, smart, funny and kickass in equal [...]
Very good read.I liked this book very much. In fact, in some ways it was better than the first in the series, Shadow Messenger. I like this author's writing style and the smooth flow of the story line. I also like the main characters in the series, easy to get into. Can't wait the next in the series. For those who like Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Jim Butcher, et al, you will rejoice in finding a kindred spirit in T.A. White. She has another series going, the first being Dragon Ridden. I also [...]
