★★★★4 Stars★★★★I really enjoyed reading this one, LD Davis is the queen of Angst and I love her writing voice.Tabby is the nerdy girl at school, she has a best friend called Leslie and they have a code - Under no circumstances are they to engage in a physical or romantic relationship with each other's exes or love interests. When they first meet Leo, Tabby isn't worried that Leslie calls dibs on him because she thinks he's an arrogant douche.Leo ends up dating her best friend, but [...]

3.5starsI wanted to DNF so many times until the sh*t hit the fan at 65%. But it did get much much better at that point on.For over 50% of the book, I wondered if the author thought of a title and a concept and struggled to build a story around it. I just couldn't get myself invested because the best friend was almost non-existent to the point that Tabitha's devout adherence to this girl code agreed upon when they were 13yo seemed so flimsy, weak and downright inane. If you want a book with a sim [...]

4.25 stars So I've been in a book slump for weeks everything I've picked up has taken me days to finish. This book however had me glued, LD Davis really knows how to write a great Angst story. One that has you going from smiling like a chester cat to making you want to smash your kindle to pieces in a matter of seconds, Which just so happens to be my type of book :) Tabby and Leslie have been friends forever and as all friends do they have rules one of which is you never, no matter what date an [...]

One thing is for sure, LD DAVIS knows how to write angst. She is a pro at taking the reader on an emotional roller-coaster. She will drag your heart through the shredder. She will rip it out of your chest tear it up making you *feel* gutted. But she will also gently, and with care, repair the damage and put those broken pieces together again and place them back into your gaping hole of a chest. This is the 6th book of Ms. Davis’s I have read. Yes, you read that correctly, she is an automatic 1c [...]

Five stars for Leo, f*ck girl code! It's no surprise when I say I'm a sucker for a type, Leo had me putty in his hands from the start, kicked his arse in the middle but love him all the way. How I felt about Tab? Hindsight, that stupid code would be tossed out the window but that doesn't make for a gripping read. This story doesn't just focus on the here and now, it evolves.Girl code declaration? If I was Tab, I would have said f*ck that. The relationship between Leo,Tab and Leslie started in Grad [...]

This book. These characters. This writing. This once in a lifetime love.Everyone should read this story. I'm deadly serious.Review to come.

3 Very Frustrating Stars!First off I am proud to say that I did not launch my kindle. lolSecond thing is I blame Leo for this whole damn shit storm that is up in this book! Stupid 15 year old man/boy!Tabitha and Leslie are best friends and make a pack when they are teenagers. I do solemnly promise to never, ever date, make out with, or love any guy that my best friend has dated, made out with, or fallen in love with. This will not be difficult for me, because I value our friendship much more tha [...]

5 stars! Loved it! Wow! L.D. Davis is officially a master in my book at heart pounding love stories. I knew this was going to kick me in the gut and it did! I absolutely devoured Girl Code and I could not put it down. It's about getting a second chance with the one that got away. Leo is to die for and I wanted him for myself! To make him my very own "perfect portable snack." I'm not going to lie, I wanted to choked Tabitha out for her stupid "Girl Code" pact and how strongly she felt about it. S [...]

Please Girl Code my a$$!! I understand loyalty but your friend haven't been loyal to Tabitha for awhile. And at that point Girl Code goes out the door.

2.5 - 3 Stars. Cute-ish story, but the longer time passed, the more annoying and unbelievable Tabby's adherence to the 'girl code' became.

4 Solid F**K the Girl Code Stars! What another great book by L D Davis. This author has a way of creating great characters, which are lovable, flawed and annoying! Her creative flare combines angst, with steamy sweetness through an intricate plot, bringing her characters to life.A girl code made between two best friends, Tabitha (Tacky) and Leslie the summer before their freshman year. A Girl Code that Tabitha adhered to over and over again, giving up chance after chance to be with the one person [...]

4.5 Stars ARC kindly received by author in exchange for an honest review Well I'm kind of sad that this story is over. Girl Code is like a slow burn. I thought I would combust waiting for Leo and Tabitha to finally give in to all of those feelings building over time. I wanted to say, to hell with the "girl code." Before you know it I'm completely wrapped up in this story and then all hell breaks loose! Ugh. I wavered back and forth over who I was angry with - Leo or Tabitha and even Leslie! But [...]

I absolutely adore LD Davis writing style, and this was no exception. Girl Code follows the story of Leo and Tabitha who we originally all but briefly meet in accidentally on purpose. In all it's a good read but I felt at times that more could have have been made of the angsty side of Leo and tabithas complicated romance, complicated by Leo's ex girlfriend and tabithas best friend Lesley and the Girl Code they had between each other.LD writes a great sexy scene but I think even though these are [...]

3.5 StarsHellllllooooo angst.

So I seriously fell in love with this book. It was just so adorable. All about missed chances. Then 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances. A childhood love. Now this is a standalone but I hate reading books in the wrong order. There are minor spoilers from the other books in this book but they are minor.Leonardo Pesciano let me just say he is a book husband and not a book boyfriend. I mean he was swoon to the motherfucking swoon. He was funny. Romantic. Sexy. Kinda alpha. Spoke Italian I mean oh my gosh. A [...]

Did I like this book?YES! Yes, yes! This is what happens when you're looking for something trash: you find a tiny treasure. There was only one problem: Leo PecorinoPesciano is taken. Or he would be surely mine. And another problem: please don't speak Italian during sex, not in front of real Italian peopleW, this was a co-read with Livvie. (Our love for Leslie is infinite xD)

Im so frustrated by Tabby up to the next level of frustration. Lol. But I still love it. I enjoy the story so much. The wait for this is worth it. Emmy's cameo had me irritated much. I don't know why I dislike her so much even though this isn't her story. My feelings for her are still the same maybe much worse because, just because. Lol. For those who loved Accidentally on Purpose series and Tethered, you'll definitel love this too. I highly recommend this.

The rare times I'm in the mood for something angsty AF I know I can count on Davis to deliver. And she did. We all know girl code is a real thing. Best friends can't date exes no matter how significant their relationship was or wasn't. Sorry fellas. Of course, exceptions can always be made. But girl code should only be enforced when it's entered into with the best intentions. Leo was right, Leslie only used it against Tabitha to keep her down. And it took Tabitha a long time to see it.Leslie, Le [...]

LD Davis is my go to, when I need some angst. She did not skimp with Girl Code! I was up til the wee early morning hours reading. I CAN'T PUT THEM DOWN!!Leo and Tabitha have been friends since they were kids. Leo once, dated her friend Lesile. Tabitha always had a secret crush on Leo, but made a pact with Lesile to never break the "Girl Code". I was cursing that stupid code, most of the book. It kind of made me crazy, how true Tabitha stayed to this code. After a major falling out between Leo an [...]

review to come

4.5 StarsStupid Girl Code. I would have just said screw it!!!Loved Leo!!

DNF 75%That’s it, I’m done! I just can’t take any more. This is one of the most annoyingly frustrating books I’ve read in a long time. I honestly don’t understand the heroine’s thought processes. They make no sense to me and I honestly don’t think they made much sense to the author either considering how many reviewers felt the same as me. THEN once the heroine seemingly pulls her head out of her butt around 60% (but she really doesn’t), there’s a plot twist that’s so contriv [...]

As much as I enjoyed this story it annoyed me just the same.Girl Code is about the bond between Tabitha and Leslie two girls who are "best friends" that make a pact to never date the others ex. I think this is an important code amongst friends whether between girls or guys. But there are degrees to this code. Making a pact like this when you are pre teens and super close and inseparable I feel shouldn't hold the same weight when your'e an adult. This brings up my MAJOR issue of annoyance with th [...]

Another Great Read- BRAB Online Book ClubIf you've read Tethered and Accidentally on Purpose trilogy, you know the wonderful characters and the heat she brings to her books.Tabitha Tackard and Leslie were best childhood friends. Leo Pesciano was Leslie's first love and friends with Tabitha. The "girl code", meant that if one friend is interested or had a relationship with a guy, he was off limits to the other for life. With that in mind, the author took us through all that teenage angst of love, [...]

3.5 starsI liked this book. I enjoyed seeing Leo and Tabby's relationship from it's very beginning. I really liked the fact that we got equal time in whatever time of their lives we were located. Nothing was rushed. Everything had it's time and place. What I did not enjoy was the girl code itself. I I just couldn't get over the fact that Tabitha wasn't even friends with Leslie anymore and she was still clinging to the 'friendship' and not the man she loves. I know this was the whole problem and s [...]

I love LD Davis and her ability to tell a tumultuous love story that spans decades. I'd been hesitant to read this one because of the plot line, but finally gave in when it was, um, free. Girl code when you're over 20 is stupid. Especially when you're not even friends anymore. Know where my bff from high school is? Me neither. Point is - it was just a ridiculous story. And the main character was annoying, self riotous and stupid. I didn't even realize this was part of the accidentally on purpose [...]

APB Perspective reviewsThe Girl Code was a pact that Tabitha and her selfish friend Leslie made when they were very young, I felt Leslie made the code because she was selfish , even when she realized that Leo's feelings for Tabitha. To me the code and the friendship was one-sided honored only by Tabitha to the benefit of Leslie. When characters make me want to smack the crap out of them the authors is doing a good job. I really enjoyed this book but the code I hated, would you stick to the code [...]

I'm weird. Sometimes I go through a 'title' phase, like right now, how many books can I find and read with the same title .Well, so far? Two books and a Twilight Fan Fiction. But still I'm surprised at how much I liked this little taleAnd for the record I think 'Girl Code' should have a statue of limitation, it isn't murder, after all.
