I finished Capering on Glass Bridges and enjoyed the characters and the world. Now I am able to see what happens with Kaia in Mar. Once again I am thrown into a land where war might be imminent and the people are faced with terrible consequences. This book moves a great deal faster because I had a working knowledge of the land and people. This was a lovely read and I was just as amazed by the story this go round as I was with the last. It is a great two book series that takes you on an incredibl [...]
I thought that the first one was good. The suspense and the mystery and the lies and deceit and the betrayals the love, the friendship, the happinessIt all collided into one hell of a ride. That was amazing. My heart felt for Kaia, I was happy when she was, sad when she was, miserable when she was, delighted, nervous, resigned, all. Such an amazing end to such an adventure. Kaia is such a smart young lady. Such a shame to see the story end. I wanted it to go on and on. But alas it cannot. Well do [...]
This book continues the story of Kaia Stone. A year has gone by and everybody is dreaming of freedom; war seems unavoidable. And there is still the matter of Kaia's pastWith The Yesterdays of Tomorrow, Jessica Hernandez has created the quite intriguing second book of the fantasy duology on Kaia Stone. It is an unusual and compelling read, drawing you into the world of Mar. Jessica Hernandez paints a clear picture of Kaia’s mind while the story evolves. Kaia is very likeable, she is of sufficie [...]
The Yesterdays of Tomorrow picks up a year after Kaia and her companions’ quest to Mar. They’ve communicated the way to cure the curse, and now they’re sequestered in an out of the way castle until it lifts. What I liked about this story are the characters and the suspense. Kaia is my favorite. She’s not perfect, but she is resourceful and willing to take on seemingly impossible tasks for the benefit of her friends and family. I also enjoyed the family set to serve and watch over Kaia an [...]
Read for reviewREVIEW COMING ON MY BLOG: toreadornotbyericaAlthough I loved the story, I really had a very hard time to get into it. The author also doesn't take a lot of time to recapitulate what was happening, therefore I felt like I fell in a little void as it had been a while since I read the first book in the series! However, I really did enjoy the book when I reached page 80, the plot then really pulled me in and made me live in the world where the curse must be lifted. The characters will [...]
The Yesterdays of Tomorrow is a stunning follow-up to Capering on Glass Bridges! While I definitely recommend reading Book 1 in the duology first, I enjoyed the sequel even more. As readers, we watch heroine Kaia Stone take on a new kind of adventure with unpredictable twists and turns along the way. I read The Yesterdays of Tomorrow even faster than I read Capering on Glass Bridges, because much of the plotline and tension that was created in Book 1 comes to a head in the page-turning sequel.Es [...]
