So the follow up from the Short Story Here Come The Boys is this one and it's a perfect continuation and wrap up of both Angie and Selina's story. Angie and Selina are now firm friends following their years of not speaking after their school days. Their last trip resulted in Seina making the brave decision to leave her husband and it made Angie see what she had waiting for her at home! This book seemed a little shorter than the last and I literaly read it in about 10 minutes. I think this would h [...]

I absolutely loved catching up with Selina and Angie from Here Come the Girls. The introduction to the Sunflower Cafe was lovely- it sounds like a very inviting place to enjoy time with special friends. 'It just wants you to sit down and forget the world outside for a bit'. Wouldn't we all love somewhere to escape to and enjoy the afternoon with a tasty cake and cup of tea. I can't wait to read Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe now! This book was great to curl up with on the sofa- with a nice [...]

This is short story which leads into the author's recently published book 'Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Café' Selina and Angie, who first appeared in 'Here Come the Boys', are taking tea at the café and reminiscing over what happened to them after that fateful cruise. It is probably best to read 'Here Come the Boys' before reading this short story so that you know the background. I am reading them the wrong way round as I am now going to read 'Here Come the Boys' and the then 'Afternoon Tea a [...]

I didn't know what to expect when I downloaded the book, I only got it because my kindle recommend it to me, and I liked the cover, and well if I'm honest, mainly because it was free! I didn't actually realise it was a sequel, however I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story on my lunch break. I found myself engaging with the characters really quickly, and finding that I really wanted to eat in the sunflower cafe! Overall this was a really jolly, happy little read, I loved Johnson's s [...]

I wonder if there is follow-up to this follow-up ;-) It was over in a few minutes, all 18 pages of it! I didn't realise it was such a short short story. Basically, this tied up a few ends of the last novel and included a prologue for the next novel (which I've already read).

A very enjoyable short story catching up with Selina and Angie from Here Come the Boys and an introduction to some of the characters in the new book, Afternoon at the Sunflower Cafe,

Not much to it. Most of the ebook is taken up by samples of her next 2 books. One thing I find very irritating is the inability of the author/editor to keep the names straight - there are 2 characters and they are frequently mixed up in a story that’s only 10 pages or so!

Enjoyable short story, revisiting some characters from previous stories.

It was ok, nice easy read

If you've read Here Come The Boys by Milly Johnson then this mini-read is for you. It's a little update into the lives of Angie and Selina (Here Come The Boys) a year and a half later after their cruise, all set in the lovely setting of The Sunflower Cafe, which is from Millie's upcoming book Afternoon Tea at The Sunflower Cafe. Like old friends getting together there's nothing better than a catch-up on each other's lives. Ladies Who Launch is just that and it was lovely to have unanswered quest [...]

I downloaded this short story to my kindle as I really like reading Millie Johnson. What I didn't realise was that these characters are the main ones from 'Here Comes the Boys' as I haven't yet read that one! I will definitely be reading that one soon. What was nice was the introduction at the end of the book to the new book and characters in 'Afternoon at the Sunflower Cafe'.A very enjoyable and quick read.

A lovely short story following up on the lives of Angie and Selina after their friendship was rekindled in the book Here Come The Girls. Has Selina finally got rid of Zander for good, and did Angie and Gill live happily ever after? Read this short story to find out, and get your first glimpse into the Sunflower Cafe in readiness for Milly's new book 'Afternoon Tea At The Sunflower Cafe' due out 18th June.

Lovely to read a follow up - with a link in it to the next full length book! So glad to find out what happened to Selina and Angie! And lovely to meet the ladies who will be taking Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe. A great little short story to keep me going :)

Fab showcase of Milly's work - I have read a few of her books and really love her style of writing. Smart, sassy, and very funny, this taster will have you wanting more. And I got this as a free read too! Bargain.

Great short story from Milly, always nice to find out what happened to characters from other books. Xxx

Enjoyed catching up with the ladies from Here Come The Girls - but I didn't read the introduction to Milly new book as I am saving that for my holidays.

A sweet, very short story giving us insight into what happened after this famous cruise, when Selina and Angie has missed their ship. Nicely written, with this Milly - only's touch.

Oh, I didn't realize this was a short story. This follows Selina and Ange from Here Come the Boys, but it wasn't enough. I need more! Gonna check out now if the there is a follow-up.

A fabulous short story from Milly Johnson ☺️
