The great thing about this book is that the plan it suggests is not some wacky, difficult plan. Much like the Amish, the advice is plain and straight forward. Beyond being easy to implement, you get a sense of why less than 3% of the Amish population is obese. (Compare that to the rest of America!) The plain, straight forward lifestyle they lead has specific effects that can be duplicated. Eat healthy and walkAfter reading this book you will not know much more than before. The Amish diet consists of meat, potatoes, noodles, vegetables and desserts, using eggs and dairy products. Amish do a lot of walking and physical labor. I believe a more suitable name for this book, or pamphlet, would be "The Walk-it-off Diet."Ok, I admit the title and my curiosity sold me the book. And the price was right. I don't recommend this to anyone seriously looking for a weight loss diet.

I think this book is great. But I am a little biased as I wrote it.

A very helpful book from a unique perspective.
