First line. First page. First chapter.Kendig throws the reader into the thick of the action in the very first line. My heart rate racing after the first page, the adrenalin pumping through the first chapter. Man-o-man this is great writing. And it just keeps going as we are introduced to the various players that will occupy our minds over the next month or so. It was a little challenge keeping up with each new player but I think that's part of the fun of it, keeping the reader on our toes, for th [...]

WOW!!! This new serialization starts off with a bang and just doesn’t let up! One of the things I love about Ronie Kendig’s books is that she writes amazing and realistic action scenes. But, on top of that, she fills her books with characters that are so well-written and have deep issues that need to be handled. The combination of characters that you care about being put in dangerous situations, makes for amazing stories. In Overkill, there is intense action and the introduction of the main c [...]

What. A. Great. Book!!! Or prequel to a book, I suppose you could say. I was a little confused by the rapid introduction of characters, but I quickly caught on and was enthralled by the story. I loved how quickly the story moved and read this part in just one sitting! This is the first of a five-part serial novel. This beginning was just enough to whet my appetite, so I'm anxiously looking forward to reading the rest and soon! [5 stars]

Six candles. "They . . . never . . . . . existed . . . . yet . . . aren't . . . . rgotten." Two snuffed out; horribly and irrevocably terminated. Two on the run; lives disrupted and forced into hiding; secured in a military bunker. One fighting for her life. And one, MIA. These are the women of ZULU; a highly trained special ops team; separated and forced underground after a mission gone bad; "Misrata". Starting over. New names. New lives. New occupations. New dreams for the future. And as their [...]

In this free introduction to the serialization, you will meet some of the key players of Operation Zulu (or OZ for short).Ronie doesn't even let you catch your breath before you're out the door and part of the wild ride the OZ team is facing. There's always been something utterly addictive about Ronie Kendig's writing but she has injected Operation Zulu Redemption with extra high-octane habit forming fuel. The first instalment, Overkill: The Beginning, will have readers strapped in and immobilised as they get to know the incredible women of Zulu, a secret black ops team, as the safe lives they have created implode as an unknown enemy has them in the cross hairs. With the same intensity and adrenaline inducing qualities of an episode [...]

Now this is a story that is an absolute teaser and I dot recommend reading just one part of it if you can’t afford the whole series. I started with Overkill and Part One and now it won’t leave my head because I’m all too curious about the rest of the story, what will happen to Teya and David? Will she ever be able to return to him? What about Annie? Will her dear Navy Seal come join the team or will Trace manage to reawake the feelings in her that never died in him? What about Boone and Ke [...]

3.5 stars. Fans of Dee Henderson's Uncommon Heroes series and Ronie Kendig's other novels will love this new ebook series (alas, there aren't plans for a paperback version.) I'm a big fan of suspense books with strong heroines, and I found that in spades as I read Operation Zulu Redemption: Overkill - The Beginning. I love the idea of an elite group of women in the military too. Only reason I docked this book a half star was because of the sheer number of characters introduced in this relatively [...]

Wow! Overkill starts out exciting and doesn't let up in this short teaser(70-something pages) beginning to a new serial. Operation Zulu will be a 5-part serial with a new episode coming out each Friday. Seriously from the very opening pages I was hooked and am thankful I have the next episode ready to read on my Kindle already. I am looking forward to finding out the back story for each character(at least I hope we find out more back story!), what happened that sent them all into hiding? And who [...]

This first installment does a great job of introducing us to the cast of characters. Each is done with tension and suspense. Each of the women from "Zulu" have settled into very different lives - all of them a stark contrast from the life of a soldier. I especially like the idea of a disgraced soldier trying to settle in an Amish community.Things all start coming to a head near the end as the characters begin to converge and realise they all have a problem. This book raises more questions than it [...]

Oh man! When I first heard that my favorite Christian Military Suspense writer was going to write about an all female special operations team, I wasn’t sure it was going to be as good as her other books. I mean, when I think spec –ops, I think males. Big, brave, burly men. But let me tell you, Overkill blew me away. What a phenomenal start to this serialization. I was biting my nails (okay, not literally but figuratively) while reading this story. There are no punches pulled. It’s a hard c [...]

Full review to come at the end of the serialization. Calling all adrenaline junkies! This may only be the beginning but I already feel like I have been taken on an electrifying adventure! In OVERKILL Ronie Kendig sets the breakneck pace and intense level of excitement that will continue on in subsequent episodes. She succeeds at introducing complex and captivating characters in a few short pages and leaves readers dying to know what will happen next. I never knew I could become so invested in se [...]

This story gets off to a bang. It's a beginning, not an enda prelude with no resolution except to show how deadly the danger is that's after them. I'll definitely be reading the whole series when I get a chance.

Good lead in to the series! I'm enjoying the writing so far. :)

Great book!! So intense and I can't wait to read the next ZULU book. ;)

Action packed! The beginning piqued my interest - great way of introducing the characters, leave unanswered questions and full of action/suspense which kept me reading to see what is going to happen.Looking forward to the rest of this series

Annie flicked the striker wheel and aimed the flame at the first wick, remembering."They"Then the second. ".r"And third. "existed"Choking on emotion made her hand tremble as she lit the fourth. "t" She mustered her strength as the fifth wick caught. "en't" The flames danced and popped against the wind. "rgotten." Light flared in front of her. This is the way Ashland Palmieri (aka Annie Palermo; Zulu One) allows herself to remember (and maybe attempt to forget) the women she worked with and what h [...]

Excited to find out what happens next! This is the first installment in Ronie Kendig’s new serial novelization, Operation Zulu Redemption. I wasn’t sure what to expect, since I’ve never read a serial novel before, but I’m a huge fan of Ronie’s books and was confident that whatever it ended up being, I would enjoy it. I’m very happy to say that I was right and I loved it!“The Beginning” is a fitting title for this “episode,“ as we get a little bit of back story for each of the [...]

After reading Ronie Kendig's Raptor 6, I was glad to see more work from this talented author. Her latest title, Operation Zulu: Redemption has been released as a serial novel in five parts. The first portion is named Overkill: The Beginning and kicks off what is sure to be an interesting and thrilling series. We are introduced to multiple characters, but most notably the six women of Operation Zulu. All have their own cloudy past serving in the military, but have gone on to reinvent themselves as [...]

4 STARS This is another serial book. This one is longer than the first serial from Shiloh Run Studios. It looks to be 6 episodes and longer than their first one. It started on July 4 and every Friday a new episode comes out. In Overkill we meet the main characters of the series and start to care about them. It does have a few questions that hopefully be answered soon. Definitely left me wanting more of them. At times it is a little confusing because each of the women that were part of the Zulu t [...]

I read this because it was free, and now wish I hadn't wasted my time. This is part of a five-part serial, which is another annoyance. I waited until all five parts were available before I started reading (because I don't like cliffhanger endings), so this is essentially a combined review of all five parts. The first two scenes of the first part describe murders. I thought because they were viewpoint characters they'd somehow survive, but no. That was the first annoyance, but it wasn't the last. [...]

A new serial novelization by Ronie Kendig?! Yes please, and as usual and with no shock, Ronie delivers with stellar form. It took no time at all to get sucked into the first part of operation Zulu. I'm already invested in the characters and on the edge of my seat to find out more of their backgrounds and the story of what brought them to where they are today. I love that this series has a female focus. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the male characters of Discarded Heroes & The Quiet P [...]

One of the best “in-your-face” action-packed, tension-packed introduction to a tough core group of characters I have ever read! If Ronie Kendig’s style of introducing and giving background regarding these tough black Ops women and men is ANY indication of what to expect from the series, I am completely onboard, looking forward to entanglements, danger and a whip-fast pace.Operation Zulu Redemption: Overkill – The Beginning, one heck of a title that makes me feel there is so much more to [...]

My take on the Operation Zulu Redemption serial novels was that they were a set of novellas that compounded on each other. Now that I’m looking at it, I see that it’s more like a set of books (all around 200 pages) that compound upon each other with this novella as the stepping stone. After reading the novella, I began to think that I might skip the others, however, learning that they’re full books has changed that opinion & I’m going to continue. What I liked: I liked the characters. [...]

This was my first read of Ronie Kendig's work and I can understand why she calls her work Rapid Fire Fiction. For a novella, there is a lot of action, suspense, and a little romance. Since this is the first in a series, it lays the groundwork for the story and piques the reader's interest about what really happened during the Misrata mission that went horribly wrong and who is trying to kill Team Zulu. For a quick read, the author is able to convey emotional depth, fast-paced action, and likable [...]

This is the first installment of a five part serial novel. All I can say is, “Wow, wow, wow!” It had such an exciting start with pulse pounding action! And the action never quit! It just kept going and going in this 73 page beginning.I love the plot so far. Six women were part of the first all women special operations team, Zulu. Something went drastically wrong at Misrata…e details are sketchy so far. The women disbursed and have been in hiding for five years but now someone is targeting [...]

Hold on tight! This first installment of Operation Zulu (the "teaser") starts fast and keeps running. I'm used to reading about male special ops. teams, but this series takes us on a whole new adventure. A group of highly trained women are all hiding out, hoping to be free of their past mistakes. They have assumed new identities and have had no contact with one another for 5 years. This installment introduces us to each team member, her current lifestyle, and a tiny morsel of the past which has [...]

Talk about intense! This is the first serial novel I've read, and it was an interesting format. It felt like a TV drama episode, how it kept switching between points of view to keep the pace fast-moving. The premise of an all-female special forces team definitely caught my attention, and the author made it seem realistic by not making them all best buddies, but individual soldiers with distinctly different strengths and personalities. There is plenty of action and suspense, with some relationshi [...]

Operation Zulu Redemption is a great read!! I could hardly put it down. Ronie Kendig weaves together the stories of 5 people in the most intense situations you can imagine. But each character is clearly defined, and you never lose track of what's going on. I loved these characters! There is Trace, the commander of a team of an all female Special Forces. Boone is a handler for the women. Then there are the women themselves, Annie, Teya, and Nuala. Each one has strengths and weaknesses. They are u [...]

I'm hooked. This initial installment really grabbed my attention. The idea of an all woman special forces team is unique. The character vignettes are so well done I immediately wanted to know more about these women. The mystery of the event in the past piqued my interest. That someone is killing these women now, years later, heightened the suspense. At the end of this first installment I had so many questions. I eagerly await the next in the series.See my full review at bit/1ohNuGf.I received a [...]
