Once again, even a re-read has blown me away. At book four in the Overworld Chronicles, any reader can fear not and rejoice; each book seems to gain speed, staying just as action-packed as the last! My inner nerd gets to wallow in the Princess Bride, and other various 'geeky' references. Still love this series like fat kids love cake! With Justin's innate ability to sway others (against all odds) into not only agreeing with him, but also forming a rag-tag 'family' of supers, he continues on his q [...]

4.75 stars reallyFull Disclosure – The author provided me with a free digital copy to read in exchange for an honest review. This installment begins shortly after the events of Fallen Angel of Mine and Justn is thrown for an emotional loop when his long lost sister Ivy shows at a funeral he's attending. But Ivy is not interested in a family reunion - she is more interested in Justin's end because she is convinced he inherited all of their father's evil. As he ponders how to get in touch with h [...]

GoodThink I have finally gotten the hang of this world. I can truly enjoy the book without having to think about how it all fits. Even the reveal about Justin, though surprising was understandable, even made a couple other things make sense.

I feel awful for being the only bad rating hereis series was brilliant at the beginning. The first book, wow, I'm going to go and give it five stars in a seconde secondokay, good, good May be it is prelude to a more awesome third book, one which would match up to the firstbut thenblah.Come on, john cowin, what are you doing? You had such a great beginning, then the story drifted in and out of an in discernible storyline. I was so excited to see the world you had teased us in the first book, only [...]

Well, this was definitely not as exciting as the predecessors. I think this might be due to the redundancy of it all. It pretty much felt like a repeat--which Justin even pointed out.I can't help but enjoy the cheesiness of this series. Corwin knows it;s cheesy and he totally plays it just right. I really enjoy the nerdy angle taken here. It's refreshing and just makes it easier to relate to Justin as a character. He feels approachable. It's not hard to believe that he would accrue himself an un [...]

Four DownMy daughter got me started on this series of books and I have surpassed her in reading them. Each book brings in New characters. and builds upon the old ones. If you do not want to be c a night up in a good series of books then I strongly recommend you do not start with this series, if on the other hand you are looking for a compelling story line then this series is for you.

Took me longer than normal to finish this one. because I've been very busyI really enjoyed this book. As always, Justin and Elyssa crack me up!! I love the ever growing cast of friends that Justin as gained as well. The author has done a great job of fleshing out this world. I am feeling a bit burned out on this series, so I'm probably going to take a small break from it and read something else before jumping into book 5.

Disclaimer: I am one of John Corwin's beta readers, not for any reason other than I love his books. Vampires and a mean sister, what is Justin to do. Continue making friends and saving the world, of course! Another fun episode in the Overworld Chronicles. There are lots of characters and the list is growing so it's best to read these in the order written.

enjoyed this oneI have really enjoyed this series and they just seem to get better with each new book I ant rally looking forward to seeing what's in store for justin in the next book Off to start it.

Another WinnerI gobbled this-book 4 in the series:-up!Justin's adventures continue to enthral me. He seems to embody what any world with multiple races at war needs--a hero who just wants to do the right thing.

Amazing story! Can't wait for the next series! Also, the book is full of surprises and keeps you guessing. This is a book I wouldn't want to miss.

And it's never-ending! I love it!

Not much happened :/

Great continuation of the series. Can't wait to see what is going to happen next!

GoodAs good as the first ones. Ready to move on to the next one. Hard to put them down. Great!

I swear these books get better and better as each one comes out.
