I wanted to enjoy this book but my enjoyment was limited maybe because I did find the heroine shallow and hurtful, like she had known that Adam had been in love with her for years and would do anything for her and she took that for granted, asking him to play the part of her husband. The hero felt love and hate towards her, hate because of the way she went through men, always coming to him in the end to bail her out and love as well since he knew she had a good heart but he had changed from the i [...]
One of the most interesting friends to lovers stories I've read. They had been best friends since kindergarten where she was the protector rather than him being the protector. He had loved her for all that time but when she asks him to pretend to be married to her to fool her sick mother, he has finally reached his breaking point. He flat out tells her no he won't help her and is pretty mean to her to protect himself. She sees this stronger more forceful side of him who refuses to let himself be [...]
we had an experienced heroine who was not shy nor reserved concerning sex. this is so rare. she was not the town slut, i mean she did not sleep wid just any man she fancied. but she did sleep wid quite a few men. adam was besotted wid bianca since he was 5 !! unfortunately he grew up 2 become an ugly teenager lol!wid no success wid the opposite sex. he made up 2it in his adult days but by then it was too late. his 1st time wid bianca (infact they had both been virgins!) was no good ! a disaster [...]
Excellent book. Loved it all the way through. Adam had such a hard time pretending not to care.
I’m a spoiler. Not because I want to discourage/encourage anyone in reading this book. I just want to write the highlights for me to remember by in the future. (There are really instances when I forgot about the story and I don’t want to waste my time in re-reading books that have bad plots.) Don't get me wrong i love themes with bestfriends turned lovers, especially where the Heroes love the heroines first. BUT this? I just could never stand the heroine. I am soo sorry.I've read something l [...]
The first book I read from her, just like all the rest I can't put them down without a fight.
