This series is a fairly well written set. I found these jewels just before the fifth in the set of six was coming out and I couldn't put them down. I think my grades will reflect that, too. (Oops!)The main thing that I did not like about these books was the narrator (poor Toven) saying something about the plot, then saying something to the effect of, "But we will address that at a later point in my story." This can lend to the style that he is going for, which I think is a semi-stream-of-thought [...]

I have just completed the first 5 books of the 6 for this series and am looking forward to the final book due in Maye Author has penned a lovely series that seemed to be one book torn into 6 smaller ones, this however has not reduced the enjoyment i have had with each book, I can recommend this series to anyone who enjoys the fantasy of magic, his concepts and unexpected twists have added a new area of enjoyment. thank yoy

3 and 1/4 stars.

This book is sold on as 6 separate purchases. After reading the first two, I decided that I wasn't enjoying it enough to buy the remaining 4. It's readable fantasy, but not great.
