Off Limits by Renee PaceThis is the first book I’ve read written by Renee Pace, I have to say I really enjoyed her writing; I picked up this book and never put it down. Renee’s writing is suburb, her character descriptions and plot are written well and words flowed easily. Before I knew it I was at the end of the story. I really enjoyed Off Limits even though it talks about some hard topics. I have to say that I felt for the two main characters and I was pulling for their friendship. Excelle [...]

Off Limits had me holding on to the edge of my seat half the time, and the other half of the time I was talking back to the characters. My husband said, "It must be a gripping good book the way you're acting." Gripping is an understatement for this book. The only bad thing about this book is it ended too soon. This story takes the lives of two polar opposite girls and throws them together out of necessity. Megan is going to an exclusive school on a scholarship and barely has enough food to eat wi [...]

I am not in the habit of reading YA, and I don't regularly read contemporary fiction, but I really enjoyed Off Limits. (It passed my "Just one more chapter. Okay, this will be the last one. Okay, just one more" test). It's told through through the POV of two teen girls from two different walks of life who form an unlikely bond as they try to deal with some pretty heavy issues at home. A caveat: there are a couple of scenes in this book that are not fun to read. But they are necessary to the stor [...]

This story was a change for me; it dealt with some tough real life situations that affects more children than we can imagine. Off Limits handles very well the story of sexual abuse, one of the characters suffers from continual molestation from a parental figure and the other a brutal attack.Lindsay was the Golden girl, every boy wanted to be with her and every girl simultaneously hated, and wanted to BE her. Clothes perfect, appearance perfect…Lindsay’s life seemed to be perfect. But it was [...]

I chose to read and review Off Limits because I wanted a taste of hardcore realistic fiction and that's exactly what I got. Off Limits is not the usual contemporary YA, it's serious and makes one think. Moreover, the book offered something I don't usually read about so I am glad I read it.I identified more with Megan than Lindsay maybe because I couldn't think of myself as someone who can allow someone else to treat me that way. So to say that Lindsay did have a choice in the matter but she was [...]

Review coming soon.

I'd like to read this book but it is not available for the nook from BN.
