It's so short! I heard an interview with the author online saying that he'd written about sixty of the prose poems, but was working with his editor to bring it down to about thirty. And that's what you have here: thirty or so really awesome prose poems. This was my first experience with Jensen, and it left me wanting to read more. I have the Kindle version of this book and I love it! My favorite thing is to read "Hell's Kitchen" aloud in the kitchen while someone cooks my dinner.

What a beautiful exploration of the relationship betw. pop culture's artifice and the earnest story of America Right Now. Many fantastic surprises here.
