I have read extensively about every single one of these killers in this book and I will admit that I was not expecting to learn anything new, but it didn't stop me from picking this book up.Now, I really love reading about serial killers but this book? I hated.Simple reason: I don't want to read about R J Parkers view of how stupid people are for not catching them (because it certainly came across that way) or about how sick these people are. I wanted a factual crime book and I was expecting a s [...]

Well I officially know that I will never read another R.J. Parker novel. I found this book to be filled with his interpretations of events. I felt like this was a sarcastic student's essay about serial killers. "Now, before I begin, let me just say that this murderous due was either composed of the two biggest exaggerators in history, or the worst serial killers the world has ever seen, with killings in the hundreds between them." Really, what was the point of this sentence? This book was filled [...]

Not often I write out an actual review, but this was bad on a level that it needs a write up.This read like someone took info straight from a wiki on serial killers and tossed in their own snide comments about the situations.I will never read another book by this author.

Really did not like the commentary. I don’t want to hear your options on these cases just want the facts. The reason I read true crime is because of the facts. The crimes were even written kinda of boring.

Published: 23/11/2011Author: R.J ParkerRecommended for: fans of true crimeEdition: KindleI found this book on the Kindle Store for free and as I love true crime type books I thought I would give it a read. First of all it is very well written with lots of details of the crimes, some details are ones that previously were unknown. This is definately not a book for young children as it does have alot of gruesome details of the injuries and the vicious crimes that the criminals had commited. This bo [...]

This book came across as a high school essay on different serial killers. I have read a lot of books on serial killers and this should not even be considered. There are horrible mistakes throughout the books as well as added author comments like "yuck" when referring to one serial killer's way of conceiving children. All in all, don't waste your time on this book--find one that is factual and well written.

I got this ebook on a free promotion from amazon, and I am really thankful for that. I keep coming back to Mr. Parker's writings hoping that he has spread his proverbial writers wings, and am let down time and time again. This book fails, as the others have in the past, miserably, to satisfy. There is no real meat to the stories and the wording seems no better than what you would find on a high school english paper.

Short summaries of famous serial killers like Gacy, Bundy and Lucas. Not too much detail, just enough to give you an overview of the killers, some of their victims and crimes, arrest and what happened to them. Not bad, and if you want to read detailed accounts, you can find books about whichever serial killer you want to read about.

The serial killers that are in this book were the ones that left pain and fear in their wake. This book gives you just enough information on each one without going overboard on each one of them. If you ever wondered just what sentence Daumer or Gacey or any of the other received this book will tell you. Very interesting read.

I really did not learn anything new from reading this book.

An interesting read about some of the world's most horrific killers.
