My first thoughts, the cover was pretty, the blue words small against the brightly coloured flower were hard to read. The black background is eerie with the beauty that is offered from the flower, speckled with rain. But it had me interested, as did the blurb. And that’s all that matter. This short story isn't bad, really. In fact, I kind of liked the idea of it. The problem is, I didn't feel like seven pages gave me time to care about the characters. I think that it could have definitely been done as a longer short story, or even as a novella. The author could have told us more about the characters, especially Adam and the MC. If you have ten minutes, though, you should read it. Your opinion could be different than minebut for me, it was just sort of empty.
